A suggested topic is whether you believe IQ testing (for job applications) should be allowed.
Well, i feel that at the moment, IQ tests are generally a good gauge of intelligence, or ability to learn. Not in differences of a few points, but it's pretty obvious who has the IQ of 40 and the IQ of 200.
So, while IQ does posess a gague of intelligence, it is not to say very accurate, nor is it the most inportant in a job. IQ affects personality (which many claim to be the most important asset), sure, but not to a very large extent. Personality, i feel, is the most important. After all, it still is possible for people to have high IQ and bad social skills. Savants, who are incredibly gifted in some way but usually lack in social skills, what about them?
I feel that sure, do whatever IQ tests you want, employees, but bear in mind that a worker is more than just a subject in a class designated by IQ.
